The shimano ultegra is a Japanese company that produces mainly products for bicycles and fishing. The company was founded in 1921 and the first product was put on the market mechanism in the freewheel for bicycles. Today shimano ultegra is the world leader with regard to the mechanical components of mountain bikes and racing bikes, it produces most of the mechanical units that compose it (gearboxes, brakes, wheel hubs, clutch mechanisms, chains, crowns, pedals, cranks, bottom brackets . . ) and holds a large market share in its entire range (from low-end bike racing up to that). The new 6700 shimano ultegra group is recognized by the new surface, but especially for the new cables under the handlebar tape. Like all shimano ultegra products to the quality of finishes and materials used is of high standard. The new ergonomic controls improves the already excellent comfort of the old Ultegra, especially if you have small hands, and facilitates the control of the high command with his hands on the handle. Finally, a great group, and perfect with a real evolution from the old Ultegra. Able to withstand competition of SRAM and Campagnolo, in respect of which offers a variety of unique powers such as the ergonomics of the controls, the fluidity and precision of gear changes, the quality of finish and excellent balance between power and modulation of the brakes . The price of the group of about 600 Euro (on sale on various online shop) is very competitive, both for the weight of the group, which for its build quality and performance emerged. An ideal group for a bike to medium-high level of quality, but without the minimum weight of the obsession. . .
